After releasing the track ‘Munna Badnaam Hua’ from Dabangg 3, the makers have released a BTS video of the same showing the making of the song, starring Salman Khan, Prabhu Deva and Warina Hussain. In the video, Salman talks about being nervous sharing the screen with Prabhu Deva and dancing along side him.

Designer Ashley Rebello and music directors Sajid-Wajid also talk about creating the look and the music for the song. From Warina to Prabhu Deva, everyone in the video compliments Salman on his improvisation and comic timings. Everyone on the set, including choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant seem to be having a blast.

The song, released last week introduces Salman Khan as the ‘New Item Boy’. Prabhudeva is introduced as ‘New Item Boy 2’. Reminiscent of its original version featuring Malaika Arora, this song is a groovy dance number with a short dance-off sequence between Prabhudeva and Salman.

Even though the song aims to break the misogynistic stereotype of an ‘item girl’, it doesn’t succeed because even as ‘item boys’ Salman Khan and Prabhudeva are not objectified the way Warina Hussain is. If anything, the song is a simple play on the title in order to make it seem new and refreshing.

On 11 November, the audio of ‘Munna Badnaam Hua’ had released. The song title is inspired from the original Dabangg song ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’ featuring Malaika Arora.

The song has been sung by Kamaal Khan and for the rap bit, Badshah has lent his voice. Salman had taken to social media to share the song. He wrote, “Kamaal Khan ki aawaaz, Badshah ka rap aur Chulbul ki dabanggayi; suniye #MunnaBadnaamHua
