After the raging success of Mere Rakshe Qamar in Baadshaho, it seems that Ajay Devgn just can’t get enough. In his upcoming film, Raid, which also stars his Baadshaho love-interest Ileana D’Cruz, another one of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s songs has been re-made. Nit Khair Manga has been re-mastered for Raid, sung by the maestro’s nephew Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

The Sufi song has partly been re-written by lyricist Manoj Muntashir. Tanishk Bagchi, the brain behind remastering songs like Tamma Tamma and Hawa Hawai has also worked on this song.

The foot-tapping Nit Khair Manga showcases the honeymoon period of the characters essayed by Devgn and D’Cruz across Lucknow. Quite picturesque, the song lends itself to the background, showing the softer side of the income tax officer who is raging a fight against corruption.

Raid stars Ajay Devgn, Ileana D'cruz and Saurabh Shukla in leading roles and is set to release on 16 March. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, Raid is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta.

(The Quint, in association with BitGiving, has launched a crowdfunding campaign for an 8-month-old who was raped in Delhi on 28 January 2018. The baby girl, who we will refer to as 'Chhutki', was allegedly raped by her 28-year-old cousin when her parents were away. She has been discharged from AIIMS hospital after undergoing three surgeries, but needs more medical treatment in order to heal completely. Her parents hail from a low-income group and have stopped going to work so that they can take care of the baby. You can help cover Chhutki's medical expenses and secure her future. Every little bit counts. Click here to donate.)
