Described as a “Punjabi tadka in a new avatar”, a remake of the song Mundiyan Tu Bach Ke is Baaghi 2’s newest offering. The word ‘newest’ is a bit of a stretch when you recycle an already remixed song (that Jay-Z even took to new levels) and make it sound so uninspired. We see a beefy Tiger Shroff doing mini-stunts dancing to a ‘tune’, that he is singing or so we’re led to believe. Disha Patani is confined to the ‘eye-candy’ role in the song, because Tiger clearly enjoys dancing with tube lights.
Watch it here:
The Punjabi MC version was the anthem back in 1999. And quite frankly, we still can’t get enough of it.
Here, listen to the original by Labh Janjua, live, so that the Baaghi 2 version doesn’t become your ear-worm:
Labh Janjua must be turning in his grave.
Ginny Diwan rewrote the the Punjabi lyrics and the song has been choreographed by Rahul Shetty. Sandeep Shirodkar has remixed the music.
Baaghi 2 is an action film produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Ahmed Khan. A Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment production, presented by Fox Star Studios, the movie stars Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani in lead roles. The movie is set to release on 30 March 2018.
