The Quint caught up with Amaal Mallik after the success of his song ‘Yeh Aaina’ from Kabir Singh. In the interview, Amaal opened up about how he started his journey in Bollywood assisting directors and then made his debut as a music composer, almost by accident. He then went on to work on the music of Roy, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Airlift, Baar Baar Dekho and De De Pyaar De.
Mallik also spoke to The Quint about how he thinks it’s important to voice his opinions now, and how he took a stand against the various award shows.
