In India you would never run out of these two things - muft ka gyan and maa ka pyaar. Now what if these two are combined for Kate Middleton and her new born princess?

Here’s what Indian mommies would be advising the royal family on, in bringing up their maa ki laadli:

1. Nazar Utaarna

With so much attention from the paparazzi buri nazar is definitely an issue for the royal baby. The global reach of her pics will mean that baby princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana will need more than just a dab of the kala teeka. Something more intense like what mommy Kirron Kher did in Dostana (check GIF above) is called for.

2. Champi Time

All that desi moms need to bond with their daughters is lots of oil and a comb, No matter how old the girl is there is always some major bonding to be done during champi time. What’s more the lil princess’ hair would be her crowning glory at the end of it all.

3. Melodra-maa!

In India maa and melodrama go hand in hand. It is in the desi mom’s DNA to be over-the-top expressive during any discussion or argument, supplemented with hand gestures, flared nostrils and animated eyes. We wonder if Her Royal Highness Catherine Middleton will keep aside her ‘propah’ British mannerisms to indulge in some desi melodra-maa.

4. Morning Aarti

You won’t find morning alarms in Indian homes that are blessed with a lot of sanskar. The morning aarti is every child’s wake up call. Princess Charlotte won’t need the tolling bells of London’s Big Ben to get her up in time for her morning tea with a spot of milk, morning aartis are what our mommies would recommend for the royal baby.
