Tuesday night was a great night because Marvel released the trailer of the much-awaited film starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. The production brings Stan Lee and Steve Ditko’s self-styled Sorcerer Supreme to the big screen for the first time, and it couldn’t get better.

Needless to say, the trailer is fantastic, very Marvel-like, as one would expect. Stephen Strange (Cumberbatch) is a selfish surgeon who meets a powerful being, Ancient One (Tilda Swinton), who shows him a ‘what if’ world.

There’s a rival apprentice, Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), who clashes with Strange.

Where’s the villain, you wonder? Mads Mikkelsen is there, but his identity hasn’t been revealed yet.

With an alternate-universe feeling with skylines turning upside down and characters transcending, the trailer is a perfect stomach-wrenching combination of ‘strange’ and mind-blowing.

The movie comes out 4 November 2016 in all American theatres.
