1. Kashyap Reacts to Tweet About Manmarziyaan’s ‘Voluntary’ CBFC Cuts
A scene in Anurag Kashyap’s latest film Manmarziyaan has reportedly left some members of the Sikh community disgruntled. A Sikh organisation filed a petition against the film in the Jammu wing of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Tuesday, 18 September, pushing the director to issue a clarification.
A scene in the film shows Robbie (Abhishek Bachchan) removing his turban before going away from his house for a smoke. Since Sikhism prohibits smoking or the use of tobacco, the scene caused a controversy and was deleted from the film’s screenings in Punjab.

2. Neil Nitin Mukesh, Rukmini Blessed With a Daughter
Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh and his wife Rukmini were on Thursday afternoon blessed with a daughter, said a source close to the family.
Rukmini delivered the newborn at the Breach Candy Hospital here around 3:30 p.m., the source told IANS.

Actor Anushka Sharma who has received the Smita Patil award for best actor, said it validates the choices that she has made so far in her career.
Addressing the media here at the 34th edition of the Priyadarshini Academy Global Awards 2018 on Wednesday, Anushka said: “It’s a special day for me because I completed 10 years in the industry on this day. So receiving this award validates the choices that I made in my career. I don’t come from a film background. I didn’t have anyone to guide me in my journey. My parents also don’t belong to this industry so they also don’t know how the industry works,” she said.

According to a Mumbai Mirror report, Arjun Kapoor who was in the midst of the filming of Raj Kumar Gupta's India's Most Wanted in Nepal rushed to Mumbai to meet his sister, Anshula who was hospitalised for a migraine attack.
