Trust Kangana Ranaut to come up with some quotable quotes in any interview. While speaking to the media about the intimate scenes in Rangoon, the actress had some very interesting insights to share about her attitude towards her body and performing physically intimate scenes with her co-stars.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Kangana scoffed over all the fuss that most actress’ make over nudity and love-making scenes in films.

"I remember a scene in the film where Shahid is removing leeches from my back. And there was something stuck on my breast and there were few people who were fussing over the tapes and this and that. After sometime I was lying on my stomach naked as I was giving a bare back shot. They wanted me to put tape around the body but the tape would show and all of it. It was just a back shot I don't know what was the fuss about. I think Vishal liked the fact that I don't treat my body like a 'Khuli Tijori'. I don't think my body is a khuli tijori (laughs). I can do my scenes with comfort,” said Kangana.

While Rajkummar Rao-starrer Newton brought home the CICAE Art Cinema Award in the Forum section of the fest, Aaba won the Special Prize of Generation KPlus International Jury for Best Short Film. The special prize for Aaba reportedly includes cash award of  € 2,500 by the Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk (The Children’s Charity of Germany).

Speaking from Berlin to The Quint after his big win, Aaba’s director Amar Kaushik said, “Getting selected for Berlinale was an absolute honour for me and winning an award is just magical. I can’t thank my team enough, special gratitude for the people of Arunachal Pradesh for their contribution.”

“I feel very proud and am elated that our film has won at such a prestigious festival, it was a script that moved me and I decided to produce it along with my friend Mitul Dikshit, congratulations to each and every team member who made this film happen,” added filmmaker Raj Kumar Gupta who produced the short.

Produced by Manish Mundra, Newton is a black comedy in which Rajkummar plays a clerk on election duty in a conflict-ridden Chhattisgarh, trying his best to conduct free and fair voting.

Rapchik Films’ Aaba is a touching tale about the bond between a grandfather and granddaughter set in the picturesque Arunachal Pradesh.

3. Ahem! Amy Jackson Takes Salman Khan’s Favourite Bike For a Ride

ADVERTISEMENTREMOVE AD

Yes, Amy Jackson has been signed on by none other than Salman Khan. No, it’s not for a film, the British-born actress instead has the honour of being the brand ambassador for Salman’s ‘Being Human’ clothing division.

But that’s not all, according to reports, Salman actually allowed Amy to ride on his favourite bicycle when the two took a break recently while shooting for a ‘Being Human’ commercial. Salman who is known to be very possessive about his two-wheeler, had his bodyguards run alongside Amy while she took his cycle for a spin. We don’t know if that gesture was to ensure that Amy is safe or his bicycle.

But beyond, ‘Being Human’ and his cycle, buzz is that Salman might soon sign a film opposite Amy. The actress has already been a part of the Khan khandaan’s last home production Freaky Ali. However, the latest news is that Amy could have well replaced Sonakshi Sinha in Dabangg 3. Watch this space for an official confirmation.

Here’s what Prithviraj’s FB post said:

Woke up today morning to the horrifying news that has by now been reported, misreported and sensationalised. As disturbing as it was, I refrained from saying something on what happened to one of the most beautiful girls I know because I knew whatever I or any one among our fraternity say, will only be fodder to click baits and TRP mongering. By now, all that can be said about the security of women in our “matriarchal/matrilineal” God’s own country has already been said. And yes..as a man who has to share the responsibility of a society that bears this shame, I hang my head! But please..the most we can collectively do at this moment..is to respect the guts of this girl. I was supposed to start work with her in a week, and she told me that she’d like not to come back in front of the camera so soon..and so is pulling out of the film. I know this girl..I know how brave she is...if it’s affected her enough to make her stay away from what she loves the most..I can only imagine how harrowing it must have been. Yes..please let us have an effective investigation in place and please let’s bring the bastards to justice asap..but please..let us also not allow anyone..ANYONE..to celebrate someone else’s misfortune. WITH YOU ...will look forward to hanging with you as soon as you’re up to it..and yeah..be who you are..and don’t let today dictate the rest of your life. Love always..Prithvi.PS: Please spare me the “English Medium” jokes on this one. Thanks.

So, I thought of donating the money if it could help her in anyway. I cannot imagine that a person has been bedridden for 25 years. Because of her, the whole country has come together.
Pinky Roshan
