Here’s the Plot of Rajinikanth’s Next Release ‘Kabali’

Rajinikanth’s new film has an interesting plot set in Malaysia

The expectations are sky-high and the fan frenzy on social media is at an all time high for Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Kabali. Tamil actor Kishore, best known for his versatile roles in Dhanush’s Pollathavan and Aadukalam, plays a pivotal role in Kabali  and has revealed its core plot.

Kabali is set against a political backdrop. The political and social reasons behind the genesis of underworld in Malaysia has been showcased by Ranjith in a subtle way,” says Kishore.

“Tamils, Muslims and Chinese are the major communities in Malaysia. What led to their immigration into Malaysia and the initial struggles they had to undergo in a turbulent political atmosphere has been conveyed seriously in the film. Despite the commercial factors, there will be an emotional undercurrent throughout the film,” he adds.

A special screening of Kabali for censor board officials was organized on Monday noon in a preview theater in Chennai. The film has got a U certificate and has a runtime of 152 minutes.

Directed by Pa. Ranjith of Madras fame, Kabali has Rajinikanth essaying the role of an ageing gangster. The film will be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malay worldwide on July 22nd. Fox Star Studios is planning to release the film in 1000 screens in North India.

Kabali will be released in over 480 screens in Malaysia, where major portions of the film were shot. It will also have a record release for any Tamil film in Kerala with 250 screens for the first time.
