After Sujoy Ghosh and Apurva Asrani, a third jury member of IFFI has resigned. Mumbai-based filmmaker Gyan Correa, who directed The Good Road, a National Award-winning film that was India’s entry to the Oscars in 2014, put in his papers. He however, did not comment on his move.
The resignations came after the I&B Ministry’s controversial decision to pull out Nude and S Durga from the 48th International Film Festival (IFFI), Goa. While Nude’s director Ravi Jadhav is planning to take legal action against IFFI, S Durga maker Sanal Kumar Sasidharan has already moved the Kerala High Court against the Information and Broadcasting Ministry and officials for "illegal, arbitrary and unjust exclusion" of his movie from the final selection.
