It takes great passion, courage and integrity to do what Guru Syed Salauddin Pasha is doing. A trained Bharatanatyam and Kathak dancer, Guru Pasha is the founder and director of the ‘Ability Unlimited Foundation’ which works with underprivileged and disabled children. In an interview with The Quint, Guru Pasha said that through these outstanding performances, they try to change perceptions using traditional forms of art and culture.

He has trained hundreds of physically challenged children in dance. Guru Pasha, also trained in Sanskrit, Vedas and Upanishads, uses his knowledge of language and history and pairs them with his dance technique, creating some path breaking productions in the world of Indian dance.

‘Magic on Wheels’ performed one of its most successful productions Mahabharata on Wheels in the Paryaya Mahotsav on 20 January, in Karnataka. Take a look at their amazing performance.

Dr Pasha, who comes from a family of healers, says that through Ability Unlimited he mixes dance and healing to treat people, not only healing their disabilities but also diminishing the social stigmas existing in our society.
