Film actor and director Kamaal R Khan held a press conference in Mumbai on Friday evening to clear the air about a controversy brewing regarding him having been paid Rs 25 lakh by Karan Johar to trash Ajay Devgn’s film Shivaay.
Speaking to the media, Kamaal R Khan stated that he has not been paid money for any of his reviews. He added that Karan Johar has never asked him to speak ill of any film. Khan said that he has not been offered any money by Karan and neither has he taken money from Karan to bad mouth Devgn’s film Shivaay.
Devgn had tweeted out a telephone conversation between his associate Kumar Mangat and Kamaal R Khan in which KRK is heard saying that he would favour Karan Johar’s film has the filmmaker had paid him to promote Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Kamaal also added his two bits of advice for Ajay Devgn and Karan Johar at the press meet by asking them to not drag him in a competition between their films.
Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay are set to clash at the box-office this Diwali.
