The cast of Sacred Games, including Kubra Sait (Cuckoo), Jitendra Joshi (Constable Katekar), Jatin Sarna (Deepak "Bunty" Shinde) introduced Friends on Netflix India, with a unique teaser shared on 1 April.
Interwoven with the title track of Sacred Games are rushes from the popular show. Take a look:
Here’s the decoded version of the soundtrack:
The first mandala includes the image of cat in the centre with the words Bidalah-a-gita - translates to “Song of cat”. Song of cat” - References the song Smelly Cat that Pheobe sings throughout the show
• “How you doin’?” - Joey's catchphrase line along with the porcelain dog he bought during his brief successful stint.
• “In the jungle” - The song that Ross sings to Marcell, his pet monkey
• "Unagamam" - Closely related to Unagi - Ross's "special" skill.
• The second mandala, an elongated dog with the caption: Katham Asti - which translates to “How you doin’?”
• The third mandala, a monkey with the caption: Antara Mahavana - which loosely translates to “In the jungle”
• The final mandala, an eye in the centre with the words Unagamam beneath it.
We hope Netflix isn’t joking, considering the teaser has been introduced on 1 April. The streaming giant had earlier teased fans with a cryptic tweet: “Calendar nikaal. Tareekh likh le. 14 din mein kuch bada hone wala hai”. While fans were expecting the trailer or release date of Sacred Games 2 to drop, it seems the big news is Friends finally coming to Netflix India!
