When and where are the International Emmy Awards being held?
The 47th International Emmy Awards will be held on 25 November, 2019 in New York at Hilton New York Hotel.
Will it be aired in India?
Unfortunately no, The International Emmys will not be aired in India. We will have to depend on the social media account of filmmakers and actors attending the event. They have never been aired in India because they do not have a broadcaster here.
Can Indian shows be nominated for the main Emmys?
Not exactly. There are rules and regulation one needs to fit in to be eligible for being nominated for the Primetime Emmy Awards and one of them is it that the show must originally air on American television. For web television programs, they must be available for downloading or streaming to more than 50 percent of the country (America).
So you need to be happy with International Emmys and forget about Primetime Emmy Awards.
So now that you know the difference between Primetime Emmy Awards and International Emmy Awards, get back to cheering for Sacred Games, Lust Stories, The Remix and Radhika Apte.
