Amazon Prime Video’s new stand up comedy show, One Mic Stand, is all set with a unique lineup that comprises some never-before-seen guests. The show, which will start streaming on 15 November, will feature politician Shashi Tharoor, Bollywood actors Taapsee Pannu and Richa Chadda, YouTube star Bhuvan Bam, and singer Vishal Dadlani. Ahead of the show’s release, the makers have shared brief promos of each of their acts.
In Taapsee Pannu’s set, she takes a playful dig at social media trolling, which she receives incessantly. While referring to trolls, she says, “They actually think that if they are going to abuse me on Twitter, I’ll feel bad. Do they not know that I’m from Delhi?”

Richa Chadda, in her set, talks about how one of her relatives is desperately behind her to get her married. During the set, she also gives her boyfriend Ali Fazal a shoutout!

Shashi Tharoor’s set seems to be an expected one, but funny nevertheless. He begins by saying, “I had a normal childhood too just like you guys. My parents would embarrass me too when guests came over, [they’d say] ‘Shashi, speak English for uncle.’”
Vishal Dadlani’s set is based on mental health. His humorous take on what people think ‘OCD’ means is worth a watch!
The concept of One Mic Stand is unique. The celebrities will not only try their hand at stand up comedy but will also be mentored by actual comedians like Zakir Khan, Kunal Kamra, Angad Ranyal, Rohan Joshi and Ashish Shakya.
