If you have caught up with the latest episode of Game of Thrones, you probably know by now that shit has hit the fan. While fans are still processing (and some even raging over) what went down in the penultimate episode of this television saga, HBO has dropped a sneak peak into the grand finale of the series.
We can Jon Snow AKA Aegon Targaryen walking through the rubles of King’s Landing, where everything has turned to dust. A shocked Tyrion is also seen taking in the devastation left by Daenerys and Drogon, Arya is seen approaching in on where the Dothraki and the Unsullied have assembles, to possibly greet their victorious Queen. The look on her face is pure disgust.
The last scene gives us an over the shoulder shot of Daenerys looking down upon her raging army, and a burning city. We are not shown her expression. Is she smiling with glee now that she has finally sieged the Red Keep? Or does she feel the horror now that she can finally sanely assess the destruction she has caused?
We will find out in the next episode, which is also the very last episode.
