Fans still need a moment to process what just went down in the episode 3 of Game of Thrones season 8, but HBO has already given them more things to scratch their heads about.

The preview for episode 4 of the final season is already out and we are left wondering, how can this get any better? After an episode that almost felt like the finale itself, can the showmakers give us a big enough enemy like the Night King? Will Cersei vs Daenerys be as epic as the living vs the dead?

The openings visuals show the remnants of the Battle of Winterfell, a harrowed and tired shadow of what was the army of the living from episode 3. And a burning Winterfell.

The aftermath of the war is obvious from the pile of dead bodies in and around the castle. The scene quickly cuts to Kings Landing, which looks perfectly fine, ready for the only war Cersei Lannister cares about - the battle to protect her throne.

Daenerys declares confidently to her supporters at Winterfell that she would win the last war, while Cersei in her true Lannister style says she would rip her (Daenerys) out - root and stem.

We also catch a glimpse of Arya planting a kiss on Gendry (did he survive the Battle of Winterfell)? Sansa staring at the two alive Dragons above Winterfell, hinting that both survived the fateful battle. We also see Eeuron Grejoy courting Cersei in King’s Landing, and Daenerys sharing a moment with Drogon.

While the show-makers are setting us up for ultimate fight for the throne, fans wonder if it could be as epic as the fight with the White Walkers - both in terms of visuals and it terms of thee plot line.
