In an age where OTT platforms are steadily becoming popular with consumers, it is natural that the rivalry between the top streaming platforms like Amazon and Netflix will also be on the rise. However, not all competition is unhealthy and Amazon.com, Inc founder Jeff Bezos has proved it.

He took to Instagram to share a photo of a packet of Eggos and wrote that he immensely enjoyed watching Stranger Things Season 3 with his kids and their friends. In Bezos’ words, “Binged Stranger Things Season 3 yesterday with my kids and a few of their friends. God, Eggos are good, and the show was even better. Awesome season.”

Rarely do the leading men promote the content personally, so it was a heartwarming gesture from Bezos. We are all glad that he had great fun watching Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Will and the other children trying to save the world from monsters.

On the other hand, the popularity of Stranger Things Season 3 is soaring. According to Netflix, the latest season (that dropped on 4 July) is breaking the streaming giant’s own records as 40.7 million “household accounts” have been watching the show ever since its global release on Thursday 4 July. Which is more than any other Netflix series or film. And as of 9 July, 18.2 million accounts have already finished the season.

Stranger Things is created by the Duffer Brothers. It follows the story of a small town, called Hawkins, that is haunted by a dangerous monster. The monster is discovered by Will Byers (Noah Schnapp). The series chronicles the efforts of Hawkins’ residents as they try to stop the monster from taking over the place. The show is set in the 80s.

Stranger Things stars an ensemble cast including Millie Bobbie Brown, who plays Eleven, Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder, Joe Keery, David Harbour and more.
