Hollywood Races Past Bollywood at the Box-Office, Again! 

Hollywood film The Conjuring 2 collections exceed Bollywood films, ‘TE3N and Do Lafzon Ki Kahaani at the box office.

This weekend at the box-office, Hollywood film The Conjuring 2 raced past two newly released Bollywood films. TE3N starring Amitabh Bachchan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vidya Balan and Randeep Hooda-Kajal Aggarwal-starrer, Do Lafzon Ki Kahani were unable to draw audiences to the theatres in comparison to the American horror flick, which collected double the moolah that TE3N earned.

The Conjuring 2 has collected ₹24.30 cr at the box office beating TE3N which made ₹12.52 cr and Do Lafzon Ki Kahani  which earned ₹4.25 cr, as tweeted by trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

The Conjuring 2 made ₹5.25 cr on opening night, ₹6.90 cr on Saturday and ₹7.60 cr on Sunday and on Monday it earned ₹4.50 cr.

Do Lafzon Ki Kahani earned ₹1.03 cr on Friday, ₹1.26 cr on Saturday and Sunday ₹1.45 cr. Its Monday collections dipped to ₹51 lacs.

Meanwhile, Amitabh-starrer TE3N made ₹2.61 cr on Friday, ₹3.97 cr on Saturday, and ₹4.55 cr on Sunday. The Monday collections of the film were ₹1.39 cr.

Similarly, earlier this year The Jungle Book had a very successful run at the BO as it collected ₹70 cr on the opening weekend itself beating Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan in the long run.

Other Hollywood films like Batman v Superman, Captain America: Civil War, X-Men Apocalypse and Kung Fu Panda 3 have also been well received by Indian audiences.
