After going on an abusive tirade on Twitter on 6 April, Kapil Sharma filed a police complaint against his ex-manager and rumoured ex-girlfriend Preeti Simoes, her sister Neeti Simoes as well as journalist Vicky Lalwani on 7 April. Now, according to a report published by SpotboyE, which is helmed by Lalwani, the portal has slapped Kapil Sharma with a counter case of criminal intimidation, abuse and threat.

2. ‘Parmanu’: John Abraham Files 3 Criminal Complaints Against KriArj
John Abraham’s Parmanu, whose recently released teaser sparked a lot of interest, seems to be headed for a bitter legal battle. John has now filed three criminal complaints against Prerna Arora of KriArj Entertainment, which was inititally co-producing the film with him.
According to Indian Express, John Abraham’s JA Entertainment recently released an official statement informing the media about the complaints.

3. Sri Reddy Strips in Public to Protest Alleged Sexual Harassment
Telugu actor Sri Reddy was detained by the Hyderabad police on Saturday after holding a semi-nude protest outside the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. She resorted to the protest after making allegations of sexual exploitation against certain filmmakers without naming them.
The actor, who has been speaking about the ‘casting couch’ – a euphemism for sexual harassment - in Tollywood, shocked onlookers and the media by taking off her top and putting her arms across her chest.

5. National Award-Winning Assamese Director Munin Barua Passes Away
National award winning Assamese film-maker Munin Barua passed away on 7 April following a prolonged illness, family sources said.
He was 72 and is survived by wife Manjula Barua and two children.
Barua, popularly called Bhaimon da, was suffering from cancer and breathed his last at his residence here in the wee hours on 7 April, his family sources said.
