1. ‘Rustom’ Uniform Row: Army Officers Serve Notice to Akshay Kumar
Twenty one individuals, including 11 serving Army officers and 7 retired officers have reportedly served a notice to Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna and an auction house for planning to auction a naval costume from Akshay’s film, Rustom.According to a report in Republic, the couple has been asked to not auction "Akshay Kumar's Rustom Naval Officer Uniform".
If they do not comply, the report claims that legal action will be taken against them by the individuals.

2. Bioscopewala Trailer: Danny Returns With Tagore’s ‘Kabuliwala’
Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore wrote the short story Kabuliwala in 1892, and the tale - that of the friendship between a Pashtun merchant and a five-year-old girl in Calcutta - found instant fame and subsequent screen retellings. Now the story is making a comeback on the poet’s 157th birth anniversary with Bioscopewala, starring Danny Denzongpa, Geetanjali Thapa, Tisca Chopra, Adil Hussain and Ekavali Khanna.
An extension of the Kabuliwala story, Denzongpa here plays a bioscopewala, one of those early roving cinema-sellers. A violent Afghan civil war criss-crosses the narrative of the man who misses his daughter and forms an unlikely bond with another five-year-old through the magic of cinema.

4. Richa Chadha Asks Twitter to Buck up & Take Action Against A Troll
If anyone is familiar with imprudent trolls and their merciless persistence, it is Richa Chadha. Not one to take things lying down, the vociferous actor, yet again slammed a troll and refused to be silenced with violent online threats. In fact, ‘troll’ would be a mild word for a perpetrator of the kind, she recently encountered online.
Taking a dig at paid trolls, she pointed out and underscored the veiled rape and murder threats posed by a handle going by the name of Adv. Vivek Garg, whose bio vehemently carries the words ‘hater’ and ‘communal’. She went on to demand action from the platform of Twitter.

The 71st Cannes Film Festival opened on 8 May with the screening of Asghar Farhadi’s Everybody Knows. The popular 10 day movie extravaganza held by the French Riviera was declared open by Hollywood filmmaker Martin Scorsese and actor Cate Blanchett. The first Cannes edition since the #MeToo campaign broke out in Hollywood, the festival has established a hotline for sexual harassment victims.
