Divyanka Tripathi is really excited about her first Karva Chauth. Even though her husband Vivek Dahiya doesn’t want her to fast for him, she’s adamant about following custom, because she thinks it is as romantic as it is traditional.
I don’t know much about the exact rituals of the festival. Whatever I know is through films and television. But I don’t want to make any kind of mistake because it is my very first Karva Chauth. I will seek guidance from my mother-in-law and have already asked her to send me sargi (an assortment of gifts, eatables and jewellery). I will also ask my mother about the ritual and it’s importance.Divyanka Tripathi, Actor (as reported by HT)

Vivek and Divyanka tied the knot in July this year. Divyanka also said in a recent interview that she doesn’t want her husband to fast for her, but she’s going to do it anyway.
He wants to fast, but I haven’t asked him to do it. I don’t want him to. He works very hard in the gym and needs to eat well. Vivek is a fitness freak and going to the gym is an important activity in the day. Fasting requires a lot of energy and takes a lot of patience.Divyanka Tripathi
According to Bollywoodlife report, Divyanka also said that she’s not expecting a surprise from her husband, but she’ll be happy if she gets one. Hint hint!
Vivek is totally against it as he simply doesn’t want me to fast and remain hungry. He keeps telling me that we are together and happy so why fast and strain yourself. However, I am adamant that I will observe the fast because, apart from being an important ritual, it is romantic too (chuckles).Divyanka Tripathi (as reported by Bollywoodlife.com)
