Deadpool Collects as Much as Hindi Movie Fitoor on Opening Weekend

Superhero film Deadpool is a game changer for a comic-book movie. It took the international box office by storm, with a whopping $135 million from its first three days in American theatres, and a further $125 million from 62 other territories.

Tim Miller’s film, more than quadrupled its $58m production budget at the global box office, taking in $260m worldwide, according to The Guardian.

The film was very well received in India as well, according to Box Office India, it collected as much as the biggest Hindi release of the week Fitoor did.

Both the films collected Rs 13 cr in its opening weekend in India at a time when Hollywood films find it tough to compete with Hindi films.
