Shah Rukh Khan hanging out of a train as it begins to move, extending his hand out to Kajol as she rushes to grab it and clamber onto the train with him. This iconic scene happens twice over in Aditya Chopra’s 1995 blockbuster romance Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. The first, when Raj and Simran meet while embarking on the Eurail trip and the second, during the climax, when Simran’s father finally allows her to ride off on the train into the sunset with her knight in shining armour.

This classic scene will once again be relived by Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the forthcoming Rohit Shetty film Dilwale. According to reports, this romantic sequence will now be shot on a tram in Sofia, Bulgaria where the Dilwale team is currently shooting.

Rohit Shetty had earlier paid a tribute to the DDLJ train scene in his Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Chennai Express. Will Dilwale with Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan and the tram recreate the magic of DDLJ? Watch this space!
