Even as we gear up for a slew of exciting releases in the next few months, this is a good time to look at how our films have been faring at the box office in the first half of the year. With Baahubali: The Conclusion breaking all records as a veritable juggernaut, it’s a new high for the Indian film industry. While no other film could come anywhere near SS Rajamouli’s fantasy saga, other Bollywood films have been doing brisk business as well - not to mention Hollywood biggies like The Fate of the Furious.

Baahubali: The Conclusion: Rs 1022.50 Crore

Baahubali: The Conclusion has broken all records to rake in Rs 1022.50 crore net in India in four languages (Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam). And looks like SS Rajamouli’s epic saga, starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, still has some run left in the box office.

Raees: Rs 128.77 Crore

2017’s first film to enter the Rs 100 crore-club, Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees tells the story of a Gujarati don with a heart of gold. It raked in Rs 128.77 Crore net in India.

The Fate of the Furious: Rs 126. 13 Crore

The Fate of the Furious, the eighth sequel of the franchise, proved that some of them would be eternal money-spinners. The film starring Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and Charlize Theron among others, made Rs 126.13 crore gross in the Indian market.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania: Rs 114.11 Crore

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s rom com Badrinath Ki Dulhania opened big and raked in Rs 114.11 crore net in the Indian box office. It was also the biggest opener till date for the jodi.

Jolly LLB 2: Rs 107.17 Crore

Akshay Kumar’s courtroom drama comfortably became the actor’s fourth consecutive film to enter the Rs 100 crore-club. It earned Rs 107.17 crore net in India.

Kaabil: Rs 86.54 Crore

Competing heavily with SRK’s Raees, Hrithik Roshan’s revenge drama earned Rs 86.54 crore net at the Indian box office.

xXx: The Return of Xander Cage: Rs 52.35 Crore

Deepika Padukone’s debut Hollywood film alongside Vin Diesel obviously had a lot of interest in India. The action film raked in Rs 52.35 crore gross at the box office here.

Half Girlfriend: Rs 38.50 Crore

The Arjun-Shraddha Kapoor-starrer might have been panned by critics, but Half Girlfriend is doing decent business at the box office. The Mohit Suri film has earned Rs 38.50 crore net in India already.
