Oscar-winning director Quentin Tarantino is back in action. He has started work on his next project which would be based on the infamous Manson family murders.
According to The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline, the filmmaker is already scouting for A-list talent for his as-yet-untitled project that revolves around the murder of director Roman Polanski’s pregnant actor wife Sharon Tate along with four others. Names of Jennifer Lawrence and Margot Robbie are being circulated for the role of Tate, while Brad Pitt and Samuel L Jackson are also expected to star in the film.
The Manson family murders have a special place in the history of American crime in the violent 1960s. Charles Manson, an unemployed convict and failed musician, ordered his followers to attack guests at a house in Los Angeles' Benedict Canyon in 1969. They murdered everyone present in the house, including Tate, who was eight months pregnant. Manson and his followers, who were also responsible for other murders, later received life imprisonment in 1971.
The shoot begins next year.
