Despite mixed reviews, Chris Pratt-starrer Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom crossed the coveted Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian box office on its second weekend. According to an official statement released by Universal Pictures International, “The film’s 2nd weekend gross box-office is the 5th biggest for a foreign title.”
The film has released in four languages - English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu - in over 1,900 screens on 7 June .
It is now the 8th international film to rake in Rs 100 crore in India. Others include Avatar, Fast and Furious 7, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Age of Ultron and the film’s prequel, Jurassic World.
Even in China, the film opened with a bang, earning $111.9 million over the first weekend.
As reported by Forbes, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has now earned a whopping $401.8 million worldwide in just 13 days of global play. It is expecting to make a lot more in the days to come.
