Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman is all set to return to the big screen with Wonder Woman 1984. The trailer of the much-anticipated movie has finally dropped and it looks quite promising. This time, the actor is not fighting alongside Allies in World War 1. Rather, the superhero is transported to a decade that is defined by long hair, iconic musicians and Ghostbusters. It is also a decade that is defined by the Cold War, and that is when Wonder Woman’s story takes place.

Wonder Woman 1984 trailer pits Gadot’s character against two enemies - The Cheetah and Maxwell Lord. While Kristen Wiig plays The Cheetah, Narcos fame Pedro Pascal will portray Maxwell. The action scenes are definitely going to blow your mind. The trailer also gives us a glimpse of Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor, who returns in this film for mysterious reasons following his death in 2017’s Wonder Woman film.
At the Comic Con in Brazil, Gadot had told the audience that Wonder Woman is “quite lonely, she’s lost all of her friends over the years, and she’s doing what she needs to do.”
Though Warner Bros didn’t reveal too many details about the film, the studio offered a one-line summary about what fans should expect. “Diana Prince comes into conflict with the Soviet Union during the Cold War in the 1980s and finds a formidable foe by the name of the Cheetah.”
The film is all set to hit the theatres on 5 June, 2020.
