After rubbing shoulders with Judi Dench in the period drama Victoria & Abdul, Fukrey boy Ali Fazal will now be featuring in a film with none other than Gal Godot. According to a report in The Hollywood Reporter, Ali has been finalised for the upcoming film Death on the Nile based on the novel by Agatha Christie by the same name.
Death on the Nile will be directed by Kenneth Branagh, who previously helmed Murder on the Orient Express, which was also an adaptation of an Agatha Christie novel featuring detective Hercule Poirot. The plot of Death on the Nile revolves around a love triangle gone wrong with Poirot, who is on a holiday in Egypt, stepping in to solve the murder.
The latest Poirot mystery will see Branagh play the detective once again, and besides Ali Fazal will also feature Gal Godot, Armie Hammer and Letitia Wright. The script of Death on the Nile has been penned by Michael Green and the film is to begin production in September and is expected to release in December 2020. Ali is currently working on Prassthanam with Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff, he was last seen in the popular Prime Video series Mirzapur.
