The next James Bond vehicle, so far known as Bond 25, finally has an official title: No Time to Die. Daniel Craig returns as Bond, and No Time to Die will be his final entry in the franchise.
The official James Bond Twitter account shared the news along with the confirmed release date and a reveal of the film’s logo. “Daniel Craig returns as James Bond, 007 in… NO TIME TO DIE. Out in the UK on 3 April 2020 and 8 April 2020 in the US. #Bond25 #NoTimeToDie” read the tweet.
Take a look.
No Time to Die is a departure from the concise Craig-era titles of Skyfall, Spectre and even Casino Royale. It harkens back to the pulpy, wordy titles that were a staple of earlier Bond films like Live and Let Die, Tomorrow Never Dies and Die Another Day. Even the logo font is delightfully retro.
Returning cast members include Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw as Q, La Seydoux as Dr Madeleine Swann, Ralph Fiennes as M., Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter, and Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner.
The new additions to the cast are Oscar winner Rami Malek as the lead villain, along with Ana De Armas and Lashana Lynch.
No Time to Die went through a rough phase after original director Danny Boyle bowed out of the production over creative differences and eventually Cary Fukunaga was roped in as his replacement.
Cary, known for directing the critically-acclaimed first season of HBO's True Detective series, will be the first American director in the history of the franchise.
No Time to Die will release in cinemas on 3 April, 2020.
