Days after Oscar-winner Danny Boyle walked out of the project over creative differences, Cary Joji Fukunaga has been declared as the director of Bond 25. The news has been confirmed by producers Michael G Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and star Daniel Craig.
What’s more, the makers confirmed that Bond 25 will release on 14 February 2020.
“We are delighted to be working with Cary. His versatility and innovation make him an excellent choice for our next James Bond adventure," said Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.
Fukunaga is best known for directing the first series of True Detective, and the Idris Elba-starrer Beasts of No Nation. He has also helmed the Netflix limited series Maniac, starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill.
