Avengers: Endgame Becomes First Hollywood Film to Earn Rs 300 Cr 

The film previously breezed past Rs 100 crores in just two days.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Avengers: Endgame, which has been breaking records in India and globally, has become the first Hollywood film to join the 300 crore in 2019. As of now, the film has made Rs 312.95 crore at the India box office.

Earlier, Taran Adarsh had shared a detailed account of the business that the film made in India.

Taran Adarsh also shared a list of other films that have made 300 crores in India. PK, Sultan, Padmaavat, Sanju are some of the films on the list. Interestingly, no Hollywood film has ever made it to the 300 crore club in India. Avengers: Endgame is the first one to do so.

Avengers: Endgame had earned Rs 215.80 crore in just five days since its premiere on 26 April.

Earlier, Avengers: Endgame had already crossed the week 1 business of several big Bollywood titles, including Sanju (Rs 202.51 crore), Tiger Zinda Hai (Rs 206.04 crore) and Dangal (Rs 197.54 crore).

Avengers: Endgame saw a massive opening weekend in India, earning Rs 104.5 crore in just two days. As Adarsh noted, no Bollywood film has managed to achieve these figures so far.

By Monday, 29 April, it had raked in Rs 189.70 crores.

The film has been breaking records and earned $1.2 billion globally in its first weekend. This puts it far ahead of its predecessor Avengers: Infinity War, which earned $640.5 million on its opening weekend and took 11 days to reach a billion dollars globally. Avengers: Endgame opened to $350 million in North America and $859 million overseas, including $330.5 million in China, according to reports by Hollywoodreporter.com

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame brings to an end a 11-year-old saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe spread across 22 films. It stars an ensemble cast of Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, Don Cheadle, Dave Bautista, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans and Scarlett Johannsson among others.
