After Deepika Padukone turned heads at the 2019 Met Gala, we finally have a behind-the-scenes video of how the Padmaavat star dressed up for her red carpet appearance at the annual event.

The new video from Vogue magazine takes us through the entire process of how Deepika got ready for the big night. “Indian actress Deepika Padukone went for her most adventurous look yet, with inspirations that ranged from deep sea documentaries to Barbie,” reads the description.

In the video, we see Deepika’s first reaction on seeing the pink gown she wears and all the details that went into her make-up. “It's not a dress, it’s like art,” the actor exclaims.

Deepika turned heads at the Gala on Monday 6 May, where she sported an extravagant pink gown by designer Zac Posen. The lurex jacquard gown was embellished with 3D printed pieces meant to resemble embroidery.

In sync with this year's theme ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion,’ Deepika stepped out as an exaggerated version of a classic Barbie doll. She added drama to her look with a voluminous high ponytail, dramatic burgundy lips and purple eye make-up. She completed her look with a pair of diamond earrings and a statement cuff.

This was Deepika's third outing at the event. She made her debut at the gala in 2017 in a simple white slip-dress by Tommy Hilfiger. Last year, the actress wore an elegant red Prabal Gurung gown with red heels.
