Netizens React to ‘Guilty’ Verdict in Salman Khan Blackbuck Case

A trial court in Jodhpur, on Thursday, 5 April, convicted Salman Khan in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. His co-stars – Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam have been acquitted. Khan has been awarded a five-year jail term in the 20-year-old case under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972.

Netizens seemed to be waiting for the verdict with bated breath. While some welcomed the judgement by the Jodhpur rural court, others continued to be skeptical. His fans expectedly invoked his ‘humane’ side.
