If you have been wondering what the Kapoor and Sons heartthrob is up to, here’s news. Fawad Khan is all set to return to Pakistani screens with what’s being touted as the most expensive film made in the country yet - The Legend of Maula Jatt. The film also stars Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan and Humaima Mallick.

Directed by Bilal Lashari, the film is a remake of the 1979 action film Maula Jatt, sterring Sultan Rahi. The story revolves around the story of a man who takes on a brutal gang leader. The sleek trailer shows a beefed up Fawad in what looks like a spiffy action film. Watch the video here:

The Legend of Maula Jatt will reportedly release in Pakistan and China on the same day on Eid-ul-Fitr in June 2019.

Director Anurag Kashyap tweeted out the trailer as well:

Check out a clip from the 1979 film.

We can’t wait to watch it on this side of the border as well!
