Recently, Sunil Grover was approached by a fan who thanked him for helping her get out of depression. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the lady said that the actor-comedian gave her courage to battle depression and come out of it successfully. “We actors mostly work in studios, so we barely realise the impact we have on most people. It’s a beautiful feeling when you can bring smiles on people’s faces”, Sunil told Mumbai Mirror.

“A few days back I was waiting for my flight at the airport. A lady came up and said that she used to consume 100mg of tablets for depression. However, it has gone down to 10mg because of my TV shows and live acts. Over the years I have realised that humour de-stresses people. For me, comedy is the best medicine”, Grover added.

He also spoke about his initial days in acting. “I remember taking part in a competition when I was in the eighth grade. I had to limit my performance to seven minutes, but I lost track of time as the audience was enjoying my act. Though I was disqualified for being on stage for 12 minutes, I was happy that I could engage the people for so long,” Sunil Grover said.

Sunil Grover, who rose to fame with the character of Gutthi in The Kapil Sharma Show, was last seen in Bharat alongside Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.
