Shah Rukh Khan is currently in Melbourne, Australia. He is attending the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne as their guest of honour. The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne is currently in its 10th year. To celebrate the special occasion, the actor took to stage to shake a leg with the people of Australia. Moreover, SRK also danced with a bunch of special kids having down syndrome. Both the kids and Shah Rukh Khan seem to be completely immersed in the experience. Many netizens took to social media to share this heartwarming video.

On 8 August, Shah Rukh Khan was awarded the ‘Excellence in Cinema’ award and he was, as usual, ecstatic as well as humble. While accepting the award, Shah Rukh also performed a little dance on stage as the audience cheered him. Not surprisingly, he danced to his iconic ‘Chaiyya chaiyya’ song.

On 9 August, the second day of the festival, Shah Rukh Khan will receive an honorary doctorate from the La Trobe University in Australia in recognition of his humanitarian efforts to support underprivileged children and advocate for women empowerment through his NGO the Meer Foundation.

The festival is on from 8-15 August. It’ll screen over 60 films from all across India and the subcontinent in over 22 languages. Film aficionados will get the opportunity to interact with their favourite artistes and filmmakers at the festival in event, pose questions at Panel Discussions and Q&A sessions post each screening.

It is being attended by many celebrities from India like Tabu, Arjun Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Gayathrie Shankar and filmmakers Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Sriram Raghavan, and Rima Das.
