She Cares, That’s Why She Won: Asha Bhosle on Smriti Irani

Bollywood singer Asha Bhosle on Friday, right after the PM Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony, took a moment to appreciate Smriti Irani. The singer took to Twitter to share a photo of her and Smriti Irani. In the caption, she wrote about Smriti Iranis’s much-deserved victory and helpful nature. Smriti Irani defeated Rahul Gandhi and won from Amethi constituency.

Here’s what Asha Bhosle wrote:

“I was stranded in the crazy rush post PM oath ceremony. No one offered to help me except @smritiirani who saw my plight & made sure I reached home safely. She cares & that’s why she won.”

In the photo, both the women are sari clad and Smriti Irani has her arms around Asha Bhosle.

On Thursday, Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister for the second consecutive term. Many from the film fraternity were present at the event in Delhi to witness the moment. Vivek Oberoi, Kangana Ranaut, Karan Johar, Asha Bhosle, Shahid Kapoor, Rajinikanth, Boney Kapoor, Rajkumar Hirani, and Anil Kapoor attended the ceremony.

Asha Bhosle also took to Twitter to congratulate Sunny Deol on his victory in the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 from Gurdaspur constituency.

She wrote, “There’s an MP in the House. Congratulations to Shri Sunny Deol”

Actor Vivek Oberoi, who played the role of Narendra Modi in the latter’s biopic, also took to Twitter to write a long heartfelt message.

“Honoured to be invited again to the swearing in ceremony. I’m watching Narendra Modi bhai bhai taking his oath for the 3rd time on his journey from CM Gujarat to PM of Bharat once again! Feeling like a small part of an incredible history”, he wrote.

Later he also shared a clip from the ceremony.

Many other actors like Hrithik Roshan, Paresh Rawal, Randeep Hooda, Jitendra also congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
