Shah Rukh Khan’s non-profit organisation, Meer Foundation, aids acid attack survivors and highlighting their causes. The actor has now congratulated an acid attack survivor, Anupama on Twitter as she got married. He wrote, “Congratulations and my love to Anupama as she starts on this new journey of life. May it be filled with love light and laughter. U r the man Jagdeep...and may u both have double the reasons to be happy with this union.”
He even shared pictures of him with Anupama and also of her wedding ceremony.
Shah Rukh even celebrated Diwali with the women at Meer Foundation and took to Instagram to share a photo which he took with the women. “Thank u @meerfoundationofficial for the initiative of #ToGetHerTransformed and best of luck and health to the 120 ladies whose surgeries are underway. And all the docs who r helping us with this noble cause,” he captioned it.
Meer foundation was founded by Shah Rukh in 2013 and named after his father Meer Taj Mohammed Khan. It supports victims of acid attack, taking care of their treatment and providing them jobs and other facilities. It also takes care of underprivileged children.
