Salman Khan is at the 15th edition of the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit. Narendra Modi made the inaugural address whilst the some of the other speakers at the Summit are former US President, Barack Obama, and CEO of Afghanistan, Abdullah Abdullah.

Salman Khan spoke about quite a few plagues of the industry at the summit. While taking a dig at the media he said that whenever he speaks, he creates a lot of employment for people.

“Media is leaving Bollywood behind in screaming. In Bollywood, one person screams, in media everyone is doing that.”

He took a stand on the Padmavati row as well, that has been a great cause of trouble for Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone.

“I don’t think it’s fair to hurt anyone’s sentiments, to comment on that without seeing a film. Now the Censor Board will give a certificate and we will go by that certificate. Everyone has to respect that and once the Supreme Court says this is the verdict, I think everyone should respect that. I am respecting it for the last 25 years. Judge saab bole ki tum jail jaaoge, nahi judge saab main nahi jaaunga. Yeh kya baat hui?”

When probed about the ‘casting couch’ in Bollywood, Bhai uttered some very strict words.

“No one has come and confirmed it. I have been there for the longest time, my father has been here (for) more (time) than me. Till today I have not heard anyone come and say it straight out. Now, being a beautiful woman or a man, someone or the other is going to flirt with you. If someone is there with a principle that you have to sleep with them to get a job, then it is the most disgusting thing ever. I have not heard anything like this. If a lady or a man comes up to me and tells me that something of the sort has happened with them, I will take them down to the cleaners.”

Even Nepotism couldn’t escape Salman Khan’s mind, who said that it was Kangana Ranaut’s controversy that taught him the word.

A manager cannot get a successful person work. But, a management company can get work by being persistent for those people who are not doing well for themselves. But it only depends on how focused, how hardworking that management company is. So most of them want to sign big stars, which is a damn good thing. But then they need to concentrate on people who have potential.
