Fans are still mourning the death of actor Kavi Kumar Azad, who played the role of Dr Hathi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actor suffered a cardiac arrest on 9 July, much to the shock of the television industry.
Apparently, Kavi Kumar Azad had suffered a medical episode 8 years ago as well. According to a report, the actor collapsed on the sets of a show, and was brought to Dr Muffi Lakdawala who put him on a ventilator. Kavi Kumar Azad weighed about 265 kg at that time. It is said that Dr Muffi did the surgery free of cost, but Salman Khan who closely works with Dr Muffi for his charity work, contributed for Azad’s OT and room charges, besides buying his medicines.
Khan and Azad are said to have met a few months ago as well. It is also reported that Azad refused a second surgery because his career depended on his weight.
