Actor Rishi Kapoor has denied any plans to return to India this month, following an earlier buzz about the ailing actor and his wife Neetu Singh returning ‘soon’. On being contacted in the US, Rishi denied any plans to return to India in the near future, IANS reported.
The buzz around his possible return had begun on Wednesday, 6 February, after his wife Neetu’s post on Instagram, which made it seem like the couple was soon going to fly back from the US, where Rishi was undergoing medical treatment. While bidding goodbye to the latter’s sister Rima Jain, Neetu, on the Instagram post had written: “One of the Quintet leaves! Will miss you Rima, will soon be on the same flight back”. Featuring five members of the Kapoor family, the picture is a happy one.
However, a source close to the Kapoor family said: "...He's not ready yet to return. His treatment is slow but steady. Hopefully, he can come home in a few months. But end of this month? No way!"
In September 2018, Neetu and Rishi both shifted base to the US temporarily. The reason for this sudden shift in their lives was Rishi’s worsening health conditions. Confirming this in January 2019, he said:
“My treatment is on, hopefully I will recover soon and God willing I will return. The procedure is long and tedious and one needs immense patience which unfortunately is not one of my virtue”, he said.
However, the precise details of his condition have not yet been revealed.
Naturally, the Bollywood actor has had huge support from the film fraternity, typically his family. Ever since he moved, his family members have made the effort to visit him. These include Ranbir Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahani, Bharat Sahani, and Samara Sahani. Even Alia Bhatt, who is rumored to be dating Ranbir Kapoor, visited Neetu and Rishi Kapoor in the US.
