Rishi Kapoor seems to be in good spirits since returning to India on 10 September, after spending almost a year in the US where he sought treatment for cancer. He visited Neil Nitin Mukesh’s home for Ganpati darshan ahead of Anant Chaturdashi. The Johnny Gaddaar shared a few pictures from the festivities. In one Rishi posed with Neil’s father Nitin Mukesh and his daughter Nurvi.
“Nurvi with both her daadus (grandads). Dearest Chintu uncle visited home today for Ganpati Darshan. All of us are just so so happy to have met him and hugged him tight. Welcome back Chintu uncle. God Bless you always,” he wrote.
In another picture, Rishi can be seen posing with the whole family. Neil Nitin Mukesh and Nitin Mukesh donned green kurta pyjama for the occasion while Rishi Kapoor wore a casual t-shirt and trousers.
Asha Bhosale had also paid a visit for Ganpati a few days earlier.
Rishi Kapoor had been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer in September last year. He and his wife Neetu Kapoor were stationed in the US where he sought treatment and received a bone marrow transplant. After much speculation he hinted at his return to India in a response to Lata Mangeshkar’s greetings for his birthday and tweeted, “Ghar wapas aa raha hoon jaldi (I’m coming home soon).” He finally landed in Mumbai on 10 September with wife Neetu Kapoor by his side and was welcomed home by his children Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.
