According to a report in Khaleej Times, Sridevi suffered a cardiac arrest in her hotel room in Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Dubai, at 11pm on Saturday, a source in the Indian Consulate in Dubai revealed.

The actor reportedly had a “fainting spell in her bathroom” and was immediately rushed to Rashid Hospital in Dubai. According to Khaleej Times, the hotel refused to comment on the matter and an employee stated that it is under police investigation.

According to sources in the Indian Consulate, she was brought dead to the hospital. The post-mostem procedure has reportedly been completed and the relatives await the mortal remains of the late actor.

An official told Khaleej Times, "Since she is such a high-profile personality, we cannot rush the inquisition or the post-mortem procedures. As per usual protocols, these tests take up to 24 hours in the case a person has died outside a hospital in Dubai. The same safety and administrative protocols are being followed by the police in this case as well."

The baby girl, who we will refer to as 'Chhutki', was allegedly raped by her 28-year-old cousin when her parents were away. She has been discharged from AIIMS hospital after undergoing three surgeries, but needs more medical treatment in order to heal completely. Her parents hail from a low-income group and have stopped going to work so that they can take care of the baby. You can help cover Chhutki's medical expenses and secure her future.
