Actor Ranveer Singh has postponed his immediate commitments after his grandmother passed away. The Padmaavat actor was to attend a press conference for Switzerland tourism at Mumbai's Taj Lands End on Monday at noon, but the event has now been cancelled.
It was earlier reported that Ranveer’s grandmother had been unwell for a long time and Deepika Padukone had even gone and visited her at the hospital in January. Ranveer has said that he’s very close to his grandmother, even comparing her to oxygen and water in an interview.
In an exclusive to Grazia, the actor had mentioned his grandmother’s importance:
“As important to me as oxygen and water. I am very affectionate with everybody – my fans, my family. I was raised that way. My grandmother mollycoddled me. There was lots of hugging and kissing in my house.”Ranveer Singh
Ranveer Singh will next bee seen in Rohit Shetty-Karan Johar’s Simbaa and Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy.
Condolences to the actor, and his family.
