Taimur Ali Khan has always been at the centre of attention, ever since his birth. One could easily call him the First Baby of the Nation, and that is mainly because of his lineage, and his star-studded ancestry. Perhaps this is the reason why he will never be able to have a normal childhood - as he is the paparazzi’s favourite. Quite understandably, this has earned his grandfather - Randhir Kapoor’s wrath.
At a panel discussion at the Raj Kapoor Awards for Excellence in Entertainment, the veteran actor shined a light upon the fact that constant media attention has deprived celeb children of normalcy.
“Everyday, I get up in the morning and I see a picture of my grandson in newspapers. Now everyone recognises his maid also! That’s because of the paparazzi. The media has created this. Now you have the ‘airport look’ and ‘gym look’ also,”Randhir Kapoor, as quoted to PTI.
Brother Rishi Kapoor was quick to add:
“There is a ‘chautha look’ too. You go to a funeral and everyone is like ‘look at his shade, the glasses’.”Rishi Kapoor, Actor
(The Quint, in association with BitGiving, has launched a crowdfunding campaign for an 8-month-old who was raped in Delhi on 28 January 2018. The baby girl, who we will refer to as 'Chhutki', was allegedly raped by her 28-year-old cousin when her parents were away. She has been discharged from AIIMS hospital after undergoing three surgeries, but needs more medical treatment in order to heal completely. Her parents hail from a low-income group and have stopped going to work so that they can take care of the baby. You can help cover Chhutki's medical expenses and secure her future. Every little bit counts. Click here to donate.)
