Ever since Salman Khan-starrer Inshallah had been shelved, speculations were rife as to what the actor’s Eid release will be. Now, it seems like Salman Khan is teaming up with Prabhudeva for a film titled Radhe. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Prabhudeva has his hands full, as he is also directing Dabangg 3. “Radhe will release on Eid 2020. Salman will shoot a few portions of the film before Dabangg 3 hits the theatres on 20 December, 2019,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.
The source also said that Radhe will be an adaptation of a Korean film, adding “Contrary to all the rumours, it is not an adaptation of Veteran. The rights of the film have been bought by the producers, but they are secretive about its name. Prabhudeva and Salman are giving the final touches.”
Earlier, Salman had dropped a hint that he would release a film on Eid 2020 despite Inshallah getting pushed. Salman had tweeted, “Itna mat sochna mere baare mein, Dil mein aata hoon.. aur Eid pe bhi (Don’t think so much about me. I reside in your hearts..and also arrive on Eid),” followed by a wink emoji.
The tweet seemed to borrow from Salman’s famous dialogue uttered by him in Kick. Kick released in 2014 on Eid and was a blockbuster at the box office.
The dialogue went like this, “Mere bare mein itna mat sochna, dil mein aata hoon samajh mein nahi (Don’t worry so much about me, I reside in your hearts but not in your perception).” Fans had speculated then that the tweet implied that Inshallah will be replaced by Kick 2 instead.
Let’s hope there’s an announcement from Salman soon.
