Baring is certainly daring: this was proven last night at the Hall of Fame Awards, the event that was graced by the crème de la crème of the film industry. It seems that plunging necklines, specifically ultra-deep cleavages, are coming back this spring, or at least they’ll be trending for a while considering fashion icons are sporting this look. The navel to neck plunging décolletage dominated the red carpet of the Oscars ceremony too this year.
Glamorous as ever, Deepika Padukone was elegantly dressed in white by her stylist Shaleena Nathani. With light makeup ad minimal accessories, the superstar has set the plunging neckline trend for 2018.
However, one rule is to be observed while wearing the deep neckline: NO NECK JEWELLERY OF ANY KIND. EVER.
Pooja Hegde, too, kept it simple with a plunging neckline, and this was amplified by faux fur around the shoulders.
Gold seemed to rule the night with not one, but three celebrities adorned in the colour. Iulia Vantur, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, and Gauri Khan wore extremely similar dresses - all in gold. Yet, they played safe with the lengths of their necklines.
Gold - at a Glance
Even Nushrat Bharucha and Shama Sikander couldn’t stray away from the plunge. With certain variations, both actors were seen donning the trend at the event.
And Then There Were Those Who Didn't Get the Memo
Ananya Birla for one, just didn’t cut the cheese.
Mira Rajput, looked slightly uncomfortable in her dress.
Looks like Sidharth Malhotra DID get the memo! Even he dared to take the plunge.
