The couple of the moment - Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra made their relationship official with a private ‘roka’ ceremony held in Mumbai at Priyanka Chopra’s residence on 18 August. Madhu Chopra, Priyanka Chopra’s mother revealed how he enjoyed the traditional rituals and chanted the Sanskrit mantras accurately.

The singer appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Friday, 7 September. Nick said that the ceremony was a “confirmation from both sides of the family that they approve of the engagement”. As the couple gears up for their wedding on 2 December in Jodhpur, Nick spoke about the celebrity nicknames doing the rounds, including #Prick:

When Fallon asked him about their celebrity nickname, he went on to reveal that it was Prick, eliciting a predictable reaction from Fallon, who asked him not to use it.

Nick’s brother, Joe Jonas and his fiance Sophie Turner arrived in Mumbai on 26 November to attend the pre-wedding ceremony on 28 November.

On the Fallon Show, Nick spoke at length about the roka ceremony held in Mumbai earlier.

“For she and I, I think it was just nice to have that time with the family first. Have that private moment then be able to share with the world afterwards. We had this beautiful ceremony and we felt so connected, our families all met, it was spiritual and then we put it on Instagram, we were like ‘Oh my God! It’s official,” Nick Jonas said.
