In Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s memoir titled, An Ordinary Life the actor opens up about his relationship with his first girlfriend, Sunita Rajwar. “She cut off all contact” and “I plunged into another deep, deep depression,” writes Nawaz in the book.
But Sunita, in a long post on Facebook, has given a different version of the events. She did not deny their romance but said that the actor was deliberately placing the blame on the women in his life for his own benefit.
Nawaz has written many things from his own imagination as well as changed facts to show himself in a positive light. With great skill, he has called himself a bad person and also placed the blamed on the women in life, especially me, because according to him, I was the reason he stopped believing in love and women and all his emotions died.Sunita Rajwar, Theatre Artist
The renowned theatre actor called him an attention-seeker and said, “I did not leave you because you were poor, but because of your poor way of thinking”.

Here’s an excerpt from Nawaz’s book, An Ordinary Life:
Sunita had fallen madly in love with me. Every day, she would come over, hang out at my house in Mira Road and scrawl our names in tiny font all over the wall... Then she went off on a holiday to her home town in the hills to see her folks. When she returned, Sunita would not take any of my calls. And when she did at last, I was flabbergasted. After such a deep, passionate love, she simply said, ‘Nawaz, you focus on your career. And I will focus on my career.’ She cut off all contact after that and I plunged into another deep, deep depression. I took a bucket of fresh white paint and began to replace her artwork on my walls with the blank canvas that they were before.Excerpt from Nawazuddin’s memoir
Former girlfriend of Nawazuddin, Niharika Singh has also accused him of fabricating lies. “He obviously wants to sell his book and it would appear that he is willing to exploit and disrespect a woman just to do so. He has chosen to fabricate stories and manipulate a fleeting relationship,” she said.
